Records
Work with records across every entity type in Vigdis CRM.
View records
Navigate to an entity type in the sidebar (e.g., Contacts, Companies) to see its list view. Records display in a paginated table with columns built from your field definitions. Click any row to open the record detail page.
On smaller screens, records display as cards instead of a table. Each card shows the record title, the first few field values, and a relative timestamp.
Use the "Load more" button at the bottom of the list to fetch the next page of results.
Search and filter
Type in the search bar above the list to filter records. The search matches against all field values in the current result set.
For structured filtering, click Customize in the toolbar to open the customize panel. Switch to the Filters tab and click Add filter to create field-based filters. Each filter consists of a field, an operator (such as "is", "contains", "greater than"), and a value. Supported filter fields include text, number, date, currency, select, stage, and owner.
To filter by owner, add an Owner filter and select one or more users from the checkbox list. Choose "Unassigned" to find records without an owner.
Active filters appear as removable chips above the list. Click the x on a chip to remove that filter, or click the chip text to reopen the customize panel and edit it.
Use the Sort dropdown to sort by any sortable column. Built-in options include "Newest first", "Oldest first", and "Recently updated", along with ascending sorts on text, number, date, currency, and email fields.
Create a record
Click New [Type] in the top right of the list view. Fill in the fields on the creation form. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Optionally assign an owner before saving.
Click Save to create the record. You are redirected to the new record's detail page on success.
Edit a record
Open a record's detail page by clicking its row in the list. Click Edit in the header to toggle inline editing. Each field becomes editable in place. Changes save individually per field when you press Enter or click away.
Click View to switch back to read-only mode.
Keyboard shortcuts while editing: press Enter to save the current field, and Escape to cancel changes.
Assign an owner
On the record detail page, click the owner badge below the title. If no owner is assigned, it shows "Unassigned" with a user icon. A dropdown appears with a searchable list of workspace members. Your own name appears first.
Select a team member to assign them, or click the same name again to unassign. Use the small x button next to the owner badge to clear the assignment directly.
Owners are used in filters, saved views, and permission-based record visibility.
View activity and comments
The Activity tab on the record detail page shows a timeline of all changes. Each entry displays who made the change, what action they performed (created, updated, deleted, restored), and a relative timestamp. For updates, a diff shows which fields changed along with their before and after values.
Below the timeline, use the comment input to add a comment. Type your message and press Enter (or click the send button) to post. Use Shift+Enter for line breaks.
Type @ followed by a name to mention a team member. A popover appears with matching users filtered by name or email. Use arrow keys and Enter to select a mention, or press Escape to dismiss.
You can edit or delete your own comments from the three-dot menu on each comment.
View related records
The Related tab shows records linked through reference fields. Related records are split into two sections:
- References -- records this record points to via a reference field
- Referenced by -- records from other entity types that reference this record
Each related record displays its title and entity type. Click any entry to navigate to that record's detail page.
Delete a record
Open the record detail page and click the three-dot menu in the header. Select Delete record. A confirmation dialog asks you to confirm the deletion.
Deleted records are soft-deleted and moved to the recycle bin. They do not appear in list views or search results.
Recover deleted records from the Recycle Bin page in the sidebar. Select the entity type tab, find the record, and click Restore to bring it back.
Deleting a record removes it from all saved views, kanban boards, and related record panels. Restore it from the recycle bin if you need it back.
