Hi. We're Vigdis.
A small team from Norway who got tired of CRMs that cost a fortune, do too much, and somehow still can't do the one thing you actually need. So we built our own.
The frustration
We've tried them all. We're tired.
Every CRM promises to be the last one you'll ever need. Then you sign up and realize what they actually meant was: the last one you'll have the energy to switch away from.
The $150/seat/month CRM
You needed a contact list and a pipeline. They sold you an enterprise platform with 400 features you'll never touch, a certification program, and a "success manager" whose job is to upsell you.
The "simple" one that isn't
Marketed as easy. Turns out "easy" means you can't customize anything without a PhD in their proprietary workflow builder. Simple and inflexible is just a different kind of frustrating.
The flexible one that's too flexible
You can build anything! You just need to spend three weeks configuring it first. And then three more weeks when your one admin quits and nobody remembers how any of it works.
What we believe
There's a sweet spot. We're aiming for it.
Somewhere between “overwhelming enterprise behemoth” and “pretty but useless toy” is a CRM that small teams actually enjoy using. That's where we live.
Simple, but powerful
Opinionated defaults that work out of the box. Deep customization when you actually need it. Never the other way around.
Transparent by default
Open roadmap, honest pricing, no surprise feature gates. You can see exactly what we're building and why.
Your data, your rules
Export everything, anytime. We'll never hold your contacts hostage behind an upgrade wall. That's not a business model, it's a ransom note.
Built with care
We sweat the small things. Fast load times, keyboard shortcuts that actually work, dark mode that doesn't look like an afterthought.
Feedback-driven
We ship, you tell us what's broken or missing, we fix it. No six-month roadmap committee meetings. Just conversations and releases.
Sustainable pace
No VC growth-at-all-costs playbook. We're building a product we want to maintain for decades, not flip in three years.
Built in Norway
From the land of fjords, dark winters, and
unreasonably strong opinions about coffee.
Vigdis is built by a small, independent team in Norway. No Silicon Valley office, no venture capital board telling us to 10x our pricing, no growth hackers optimizing your onboarding into an upsell funnel.
We built Vigdis because we needed it ourselves. We run a business, we needed a CRM, and everything we tried was either too expensive, too complicated, or somehow both at once. So we started building what we actually wanted — and figured if we felt this way, other teams probably did too.
The name? Vigdis is one of the founder's Muscovy ducks. She's the friendly one — no drama, no fuss, just gets on with it. (Don't tell the others we said that.) We figured if a CRM should be anything, it should be the Vigdis of the flock.
Muscovy ducks happen to be the only domestic breed not descended from mallards — they do things their own way. They're also the quietest ducks you'll ever meet: all substance, no noise. If that sounds like a CRM philosophy, that's because it is.
Turns out Vigdis is also an Old Norse name meaning “war goddess.” We didn't know that when we named it — but for a tool that helps you close deals, we'll take it. And while we're on names: Vigdis Finnbogadóttir became the world's first democratically elected female president, in Iceland, in 1980. We're not saying our duck has presidential energy. But we're not not saying it.
The honest pitch
We're not going to pretend we're the best CRM in the world. We're new. We're still building. There are features we haven't shipped yet and rough edges we know about.
But we ship fast, we listen to every piece of feedback, and we're building something we genuinely use ourselves every day. If you're a small team that wants a CRM that's powerful without being painful, we think you'll like what we're making.
And right now, it's completely free. So the worst that can happen is you try it and go back to your spreadsheet.
Come say hi
Try Vigdis for free, poke around, break things, and tell us what you think. We read every message.
